Playing with Decopatch

In November ('12) me and mum went to the NEC Hobbycrafts show and had an absolutely fab time!  We managed to enroll on the Decopatch workshop and one christmas bauble later, I was hooked.  Mum gave me some Decopatch bits for Christmas - including a bare, white mask.
And this is what it looks like now:
The mask was Decoptached using a few pages I enjoyed from the Bible and then Gesso'd.  Some parts were liberally whitewashed whilst others had the Gesso rubbed away to reveal more text.  I then used Tattered angels glimmer mist and drops as paint for the edges, mixing teals and yellows.  The edges were rubbed roughly with an ink pad and embossed with antique silver pearl lustre powder, which doesn't show too well in photographs!
The flowers, leaves, beading (Aged with Gesso, then sanded) and butterflies were applied with a hot glue gun.
So there we have it!  It felt like old times getting messy and now my fingers itch to do more!! (Or is that the burns from the glue gun..)

Wow! Loving the way you have done the text and I bet it looks fabulous in RL with it's antique silver lustre. Good idea to display it in the snow too, very 'Ice Queen'. Yay for getting messy and itching for more.
