Birthday Layout

I mentioned before that on the night of my birthday I tucked into some chocolate and scrapped.. this is the fruit of my labours and I was really pleased with the way it turned out. It's been ages since I have been happy with a layout.

7th June - My Birthday!!

I am 25 today. OMG.. 25? WHAT! Wrong side of twenty.. thirties are fast approaching.. what the hell I remember my mom was 30.. I am never going to be THAT old.

At midnight I opened up my presents. Nan got me some storage tubs (what a true nan present!) and a card that had the heads missing off the decoupage (slightly gothic.. I can roll with that!) Lee got me this:
[img]http://www.thecollectorzone.com/images/products/9783_s.jpg[/img] Which is just so beautiful - I LOVE it!! I had a REALLY gorgeous card from Wendy and I was stoked at the effort in it.

Went to bed at about 3am woke at 9:30 to get to Marc N spudges for breakfast. She is a sweetheart and made me scrambled eggs, fried tomatoes, bacon, sausages, toast and beans. I felt so spoilt and she made me such a gorgeous card too. My brother came back from the shop with some ferrero Rochers for me (which has an in-joke tied to it) and 5 lottery tickets lol. They are paying for me to go out with Soph and get my nails done which will be SO nice. I felt really spoilt and really happy and it was a lovely day. Sophie smashed her best salt and pepper pots.. in two seperate incidents! I was saying how I NEVER smash anything then took my camera off the side, camera strap was looped around a candle.. SMASH. DAMN!!

When I got to moms at 3 she had baked me a lovely cake. I am not really into food at the moment.. have just been feeling really off :( I felt so bad that I didn't eat any as I love my mom and her cake.

She did a really nice buffet and bought me some gorgeous new clothes and a currys voucher! My sister is mental.. she got me this massive storage tub... like knee height and it was full of crafting stuff.. 7 gypsies, heidi swapp, albums, everything!! she also made me a card and it was SO nice. She is really good at crafting. I loved everything she got me and feel awful for her spending so much on me. I love her though x She made me this beautiful scrapbook about Kieren and as you can see I was crying!

Came home.. ate chocs whilst watching big brother and scrapping.

Friday 6th June - Late. As USUAL!

I LOVE THIS BOY.

Last night I had my anniversary shower (ahaha) and when I came out and walked into the bedroom.. there waiting for me was a digital photoframe with the image set as "To my darling wife, Happy anniversary, lots of love Lee xxx" and then when I switched it over it had all the images from our 5 years together. CRIED.. Didn't half!! I said "where did you get the money for this from?" Apparentely, all the times I sent him to get bread from the shop or something, he had saved the change in secret!

Its been a lovely day today and the sun is so hot my head was baking! Had a BBQ and a really nice time with Lee. Every year we buy a new BBQ!! Oh yeah, I went to have my haircut this morning too.. and she said she would only take off a few inches.. then started to cut off like.. 6! :(

Packed it all away now and he comes in looking sheepish with a present. "This present is for your birthday but you might want to play with it now whilst the kids aren't here.. do you want it?" Hmm Tough decision..

It was second hand but it appears to all be here and needs a good dust but its just perfect. I am SO happy.



I was up till midnight swearing but managed to eventually cut a flower and glitter it up so i'll post a pic of that tomorrow :D

My latest efforts!

I have completed a few layouts the other night as I really wanted to get back into the flow of things. I was sent an awesome parcel of goodies from papermania and can't wait to get using them!

Anyway, here are the layouts! Albeit a bit creased thanks to Logey big foot:

Crazy Times

Tomorrow is my five year anniversary with my DH Lee. It hardly feels like two seconds since we was sat beneath the stars.. stealing a moment for ourselves.. and knowing that we HAD to be together.





This is one of my first layouts but I don't mind sharing it because it has my favourite photograph of all time:

Look how cheesey we are, sitting in a cafe at Dudley Zoo. We look so happy and trully we was but the hidden journalling is all about how at the time we had heartache with conceiving and loss.

It makes me smile to knowthat through our hardest times we was like this.

I made this little book ages ago and never got around to using it. It has lots of envelope pages in so I thought it would be perfect to house all of the love letters we have sent over the years. Sometimes they are just left in noteboooks and when I read them I can't believe the memories.

Today I was watching videos at Lee's nans. Videos of his late grandad Sam and of Lee in 1995. It makes me sad to think I will never meet the man who shaped Lee's life the most, the man who he loved more then anything. It was nice though to see grandad.. puffing in the way Lee has explained in many stories.. He seemed like a wonderful man. It was his birthday this week so happy birthday and I hope you finally got to record your music in peace without nan moaning :D

Speaking of birthdays.. who's 25 on saturday?!

I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Jakii from scrapajack who sent me an AWESOME pile of sassafrass goodies.. Like.. LOADS of the new robotics and a sticker sheet.. and topped it off with.. the love of my life.. THICKERS! *schwooon" You have totally made my week and you are TOO kind. P.S LOVE the hand scribbled note - too cute lol.

I only received it last night so I decided to get a layout made as it was just itching in my hands! This is my adorable boy Logan in his dressing up outfit. "You have so many costumes, we bought many of them before you was even walking! In true Logan style though, you REFUSE to wear one. One day you let daddy put this one on you and you really enjoyed it. Not as much as daddy though, Iron Man is his favourite. 25/04/07"

Hello my friend we meet again, it's been a while; where shall we begin? Seem like forever.

Got to love Creed.

It's amazing how lapse you can get at writing in your blog and updating your life when your camera runs out of battery! It's just such an EFFORT to find out the recharger and plug it in!!

I am expecting a stash delivery today of my new BIG BITE YEEEEHHHAA!! Can't wait to have a play with that baby and finally use my grommets!

There is really nothing to report from the Marshall camp other then I am still tired LOL!

UKS has all changed and I can't really say i'm that bothered. I can definitely see why other people would be less amused though as I am a bit geeky and can whip out the old html code thats still in the back of my brain somewhere from that dark dark part of my life. Which reminds me of the skellington story. That has now taken me on to remembering the other day we went to WHSmith to buy the kids some new books and I bought Emily "The hungry caterpillar" YAY! I have still got my copy from when I was little but she deserved her own BIG giant copy. At the end once the caterpillar has eaten all of the food he has stomach ache.. Only yesterday Lee realised Emily was saying "and then he had some stomach cake".

HEHEHHE life is so sweet being in our childrens world :)

Anyway back to UKS (god this girl can talk) I have been trying to get the team back together and creating by starting a race. Each person has the chance to win a prize by completing the challenge I set every single night within 24 hours.

I have been chosen to be in the Scrapbook inspirations feature "My Favourite layout". That will be so cool but I have got to take a head and shoulders style photo NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I hate having photographs taken *sigh*.
